Imogene Gordon and Royston John death announcement: Imogene Gordon and Royston John were allegedly stabbed to death by Imogene's ex-lover who is now in Police custody.

According to reports, the ex-lover reportedly stabbed 49-year-old Imogeme Gordon and her new spouse Royston John to death at the woman’s 177 Prosville, Wismar, Linden home on Wednesday night.

John is believed to be from Corentyne, Berbice.

Regional Commander Hugh Winter told the News Room that the bodies of the couple were discovered with multiple stab wounds to the chest area by Police who were called to the scene. He said the incident occurred at around 20:30hrs.

John was reportedly discovered lying on his back by the entrance of the door of the lowerflat of the incomplete two-storied home while Gordon was discovered lying facedown.

The bodies were examined and discovered to have multiple stab wounds to the upper torsos.

Police canvassed the scene and reportedly discovered a knife which is suspected to be the murder weapon.

Several persons in the area were questioned by ranks in relation to the incident.

A neighbour recalled hearing the woman screaming prior to the bodies being discovered.

The neighbour then tried calling the woman’s cellphone but received no answer.

As such, the neighbour called the Wisroc Police Outpost and lodged a report.

Regional Commander Hugh Winter noted that details surrounding the incident are not clear since the area was poorly lit and there are no eyewitnesses at this time, however, the Commander said the suspect and the woman shared a relationship some time ago but separated.

The suspect was caught a short distance away at around 07:30hrs on Thursday.

The bodies were transported to the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) where they were seen and examined by a doctor on duty who pronounced them dead on arrival.

Information revealed that some time ago, Gordon had filed a complaint against an ex-lover.

The complaint was that the ex-lover had threatened to chop off her hands and feet. He was arrested and charged in connection with the allegations on March 10 and later appeared at Linden Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Dylon Bess where he pleaded guilty to the charge.

He was placed on a six month bond to keep the peace.

An investigation is ongoing.

SueArlen Andrews death announcement: SueArlen Andrews died suddenly yesterday, March 16 on the compound of Petersville School.

SueArlen was the caretaker of one of the pupils attending the school. Reports say Andrews was present at the school at Kingstown Park to feed the student when she collapsed suddenly, hitting her head in the process.

A parent who witnessed SueArlen pass away said he was at the school to feed his daughter and he had just had a conversation with SueArlen Andrews about the closure of schools because of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The parent told Searchlight:

“Andrews was looking after her (pupil), making sure she was eating her lunch and stuff like that and at one time, I looked around and she was smiling with the little girl and then I just saw her fall back and she hit her head on the wall.”

The parent said he ran over to her immediately and held her head up, as she was gasping for air. He continued:

“My daughter came over and was asking ‘Daddy she dead? She dead?’ And the other little girl was just there…she was in shock, she couldn’t even move.

So I decided to put down her head and grab the two little kids, carry them over to the next class room and to call other people…for help.

One of the, Prep 1 teachers, Mrs Bascombe and a parent, Mrs Kirby, came over and Mrs Kirby was checking for a pulse, then other parents and teachers came over.

We did what we could,” he said.

The parent said an ambulance was called to the scene but Andrews appeared to be dead by the time it had arrived. He continued:

“Up to seconds before, the lady was smiling, she looked totally fine. There was nothing to suspect that that was going to happen. She looked totally fine.

“I’m kind of worried for the children.

I believe they should get some kind of counselling, especially for that little girl…because she was just there in a state of shock.”

Kimberly McCarthy death announcement: 39 year old Kimberly McCarthy of a Massachusetts address has died. Her body was discovered in her hotel room at RIU Montego Bay by workers on Wednesday.

Foul play and the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been ruled out as American Kimberly McCarthy cause of death.

A senior RIU worker told the Jamaica Observer:

“We cannot assure the cause, but she wasn't exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, so we don't think she died because of COVID-19.

“The police, who are investigating, will have to await an autopsy to determine the cause of death.”

McCarthy was found dead after she reportedly arrived in the island via the Sangster International Airport on March 13 and the room in which she was staying was not cleaned for two consecutive days, because a 'Do not disturb' sign had hung on the door.

On the third day, McCarthy body was discovered by a worker who went to clean the room.

A statement from RIU said:

“The client had been with the 'Do not disturb' sign on the bedroom door for three days.

On the third day, which was... Wednesday, March 18, and as established by the security protocol, the assigned cleaner opened the door after knocking several times.

And, as soon as she opened the door, she saw the client lying on the bed, without breathing. When the nurse arrived, she certified the death of the client,”

Reports say a reliable police source says investigators have ruled out foul play in Kimberly McCarthy death.
